Codreaming Account Deletion

We're sorry to see you go. If you'd like to delete your Codreaming account and all associated data, please follow the steps below.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)

  1. Open the Codreaming app on your device
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon in the top right)
  3. Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
  4. Confirm your decision when prompted

Your account will be deleted immediately.

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us:

  • Send an email to privacy@codreaming.app
  • Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  • Include the email address or username associated with your account

We will process your request and delete your account within 7 business days.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Account Information: Your username, email address, and password
  • Dreams: All dream entries you have recorded, including titles, text, dates, and notes
  • Dream Embeddings: The AI-generated mathematical representations of your dreams used for similarity matching
  • Clarifying Questions: All questions and answers about your dreams and life context
  • User Context: Any personalized context we've learned about you
  • Connections: Your friend connections with other users
  • Connection Requests: Any pending connection requests you've sent or received
  • Dream Pair Requests: Any pending dream sharing requests
  • Messages: All messages you've sent in chats
  • Push Notification Tokens: Device tokens for notifications
  • Biographical Facts: Any personal facts you've shared

What Data May Be Retained

Some data may be retained for limited purposes:

  • Chat History: Messages you sent may remain visible to other chat participants (your username will be removed)
  • Legal Compliance: Some anonymized data may be retained if required by law
  • Backup Systems: Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being purged

Important Notes

  • This action is irreversible. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
  • If you have an active subscription, please cancel it before deleting your account.
  • Deleting your account does not automatically cancel any app store subscriptions.
