  • Connection Requests: Information about connection requests you send or receive.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
  • Usage Data: How you interact with the app, including features used and time spent.
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, and pages viewed.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process and store your dream entries
  • Generate AI-powered insights and interpretations for your dreams
  • Find and display dreams from other users that are similar to yours
  • Facilitate connections and communication between users who share similar dreams
  • Assign themes and patterns to your dreams
  • Send you service-related communications (password resets, notifications)
  • Respond to your requests and support inquiries
  • Protect against fraud and unauthorized access

3. AI and Third-Party Services

We use artificial intelligence to provide core features of our Service:

  • OpenAI: We send your dream text and context answers to OpenAI's API to generate personalized interpretations, clarifying questions, and to compute similarity scores between dreams. OpenAI processes this data according to their Privacy Policy.
  • Dream Embeddings: We create mathematical representations (embeddings) of your dreams to find similar dreams. These embeddings are stored securely and do not contain readable text.

4. How We Share Your Information

4.1 With Other Users

  • Similar Dreams: When your dream is similar to another user's, they may see your dream text. Initially, your identity is hidden. Only if you both consent to connect will your username be revealed.
  • Connections: Users you connect with can see your username and communicate with you.
  • Dream Themes: Aggregated, anonymized theme data may be visible to other users.

4.2 Service Providers

We may share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including:

  • Cloud hosting (Google Cloud Platform)
  • Email delivery (Resend)
  • AI processing (OpenAI)

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Secure password hashing
  • Access controls and authentication
  • Regular security reviews

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your dreams at any time. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Delete your dreams or your entire account
  • Portability: Request your data in a portable format

8. Children's Privacy
